Remembering Marc Weinberg

So saddened to hear of the passing of my friend, the legendary Marc Weinberg. From a young rookie in the business 20+ years ago at TSCG, to a colleague, deal maker and owner later on, he has always treated me with respect and would always drop some nugget of life/professional knowledge every time we spoke, even through the sarcastic wit that was so much fun to banter with. I learned a lot from Marc and grateful to have known him and worked with him. Sending love to the TSCG (The Shopping Center Group) fam, I am grieving with you all. May his memory be a blessing to us all.

We are grieved to learn of the passing of a dear friend and partner, Marc Weinberg. Marc has been a part of our organization since 1994 and over the course of his career, he developed life-long friendships with his clients and so many others from throughout our industry. Marc took special pride in the meticulous work he did on behalf of his clients, the thoughtful and objective way he led our associates in the Atlanta office, and the young people he mentored that went on to be giants in the industry. He was a caring colleague, dependable friend, and one of the kindest people we had the pleasure of knowing. Marc will be tremendously missed.

Marc is survived by his son Alex Weinberg, siblings Dr. Paul Weinberg (Harriet) and Lynn Valentino (Peter), his partner Belinda Morris and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Barbara Weinberg Riff and Dr. Seymour Weinberg 

For those who would like to honor Marc, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 11 a.m. at The Temple, (1589 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309), followed by a graveside service at Crest Lawn Cemetery, (1550 Chattahoochee Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks those wishing to make a donation to kindly consider The Temple, The Seymour P. Weinberg Memorial Fund c/o Office of Gift Records, Emory University, or the charity of your choice.
